Now that all of my brothers are becoming fathers, we're starting the family dinners where we are the uncles and aunts and the kiddos run around playing together. It wasn't so long ago that I remember being in the kiddos shoes. We're starting a new chapter in our lives.
Before we headed off to the family dinner, the matriarch of the McNulty/Dilloughery kingdom stopped by to see not her newest, not her second from newest, but old news Chloe who has already been surpassed by two newborns. She had her fifteen minutes of fame, but Mom Mom still loves her.
Then at the party, first and foremost ... here are Lily and Camille loving each others' company
... and yes, they were in matching pajamas ... with their matching tow-heads. I looked up where that phrase is from because I thought it was literally like a human toe and I didn't like it when people called Lily a toe-head. I mean I'm a protective dad and that just sounds almost derogatory. Anyways, it is tow head as in flax tow or the fiber from flax plants that looks like blonde hair. It is the same as saying "flaxen haired" girl. Here is a photo of flax tow (flax fiber)
... anyways, back to the super cute cousins in their matching pajamas
Camille was so funny because every time she sat in the toy stroller, she immediately strapped in her belt. It was a good thing too. The very first thing Lily did was push her off the step (you can see it behind them). Then to finish off the stroller-fun, Lily tipped it over sideways. Camille is tough and was a great sport ... but it was a hilarious start.
... then it was back into the bedroom so Camille could show Lily all her toys
... one of which is a trampoline!
... and I am pretty sure there were other people at the dinner. Like my little brother Ryan, his wife Ashley, and their adorable one-month-old Kevin (who makes some funny faces!)
... and as if one newborn isn't enough, Ryan couldn't get enough of holding Chloe. I think someone likes being a father ...
... but don't worry, Camille was in charge of the one-month-old
... Camille wanted to hold all the babies!
... and the hosts of this great family get together were Jama and my older brother Sean's kids. Sean was at work, but Jama, her one-week-old, and two older kids Emma and Thomas decided to host an awesome taco bar at their house.
Here is Jama and the newborn hosting their party
Here are Emma and Thomas being adorable goofballs
... and then it was time to eat. All of the newborns hung out together and kept each other company while the adults and big kids had a great Mexican feast.
... and after dinner we had to get a few family shots of the babies and the mamas ... in order from newest to oldest (left to right)
... and then just the kiddos
... then just the week-old Robert
